As a student I feel a strong anger about the way this makes locals feel about the student community. I can fully understand the indignation. We are supposedly educated, well-rounded people but it seems that the simple idea of cleaning up after oneself is too high a requirement.
If it were simply an issue of a bit of smoke and music during hot summer days, I wouldn’t really feel able to point fingers, but the piles of rubbish are a lasting symbol of how little people care about the environment and other park users.
